Jurietta was born in Windhoek, where she finished her school career. After she qualified as a teacher, she craved to be a fulltime artist. As a farmer's wife, she started painting bushmen, ovahimba's and animals on leather, which were very popular (especially in the tourist market) Favourite topics are hearts, crosses, chairs, shoes,violins and female figures. She likes to paint zebras and Nguni cows. Jurietta is still living on a farm near Grootfontein, where she continues to deliver paintings in her studio.
